The Working Holiday visa is a temporary visa for young people who want to holiday and work in Australia for up to a year. It is a temporary visa that encourages cultural exchange and closer ties between Australia and eligible countries.

eVisa​

 

eVisitor is for people who hold passports from certain countries and who want to visit Australia for:

  • tourism, such as holidays, recreation or seeing family or friends
  • business visitor purposes, such as attending a conference, negotiating or exploring business opportunities.

 

You must hold a passport from an eligible country to apply for this visa.

An eVisitor is an electronically stored authority for travel to Australia. eVisitor can be accessed by airlines, travel agents and Australian border agencies.

Work and Holiday Visa.​

 

The Work and Holiday (Temporary) visa ) is for young people who want to holiday and work in Australia for up to a year.Application for this visa is restricted to people with passports from certain countries.

.It is a temporary visa that encourages cultural exchange and closer ties between Australia and eligible countries.

Electronic Travel Authority

 

The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)  lets you enter Australia as many times as you want for up to 12 months if you are:

  • a tourist
  • travelling for business visitor purposes.

You can stay in Australia for up to three months on each visit.

An ETA is an electronically stored authority for travel to Australia. You must be outside Australia when you apply and when the ETA is decided.

An ETA is linked electronically to your passport. It can be seen by staff at airlines, travel agencies and Australian border agencies.

Medical Treatment Visa​

 

The Medical Treatment visa is for people to have medical treatment or medical consultations in Australia. You cannot apply for this visa to have medical treatment for surrogate motherhood.

It is a temporary visa. This visa allows people to travel to Australia:

  • for medical treatment or consultations

  • to support someone needing medical treatment who holds or has applied for this visa to donate an organ.​

Visitor Visa
 

The Visitor visa  is for people who want to travel to Australia as tourists, for business visitor activities or to visit family. It is a temporary visa.This visa has four streams:

 

Tourist stream: for people travelling to Australia for a holiday, recreation or to visit family and friends and for other purposes not related to business or medical treatment.

 

Business Visitor stream: for business people travelling to Australia for a short business visit. This includes making a general business or employment enquiry, negotiations or participating in a conference.

 

Sponsored Family stream: for people travelling to Australia to visit their family. You must have a sponsor who might be asked to provide a bond.

 

Approved Destination Status stream: for people from the People’s Republic of China who are travelling in an organised tour group.You must be in the People’s Republic of China at time of application and to be granted the visa.
